The method of cultivating cactus is as follows: 3 portions of garden soil, rotten leaf soil and coarse sand, 1 part of plant ash and 1 part of rotten bone powder, shading properly in summer, suitable growth temperature of 20-35 ℃, and proper amount of rotten liquid fertilizer and potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution in spring, summer and autumn. Matters needing attention for breeding cactus: water can be watered once every 1-2 months in spring and summer, and once every 2-3 months in autumn and winter to control illuminance, fertilizer and so on.

I. the method of raising cactus

1. Soil

You can choose 3 portions of garden soil, rotten leaf soil and coarse sand, plus 1 part of plant ash and 1 part of rotten bone powder to prepare and breed, and then put on the basin in early spring, the bottom of the basin should be covered with a layer of 3cm thick pebbles, and the planting depth should be that the spherical rhizome is flat with the soil surface.

2. Lighting

Cacti like to grow in a sunny environment, but excessive exposure can also slow down the growth of cacti. If you want cacti to grow faster, you can raise them in a cool environment in hot summer.

3. Watering

Most of the cactus are native to the hot and arid desert wilderness of South and North America, so they have a strong ability to resist drought. If they are watered too much, the roots will fester, and some large cactus will not die even if they are not watered for 1-2 years.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature of cactus is 20-35 ℃, and all kinds of cactus prefer large temperature difference between day and night, generally within 35 ℃ during the day and 15 ℃ at night, which is more conducive to the production and accumulation of organic matter, thus promoting plant growth more exuberantly.

5. Fertilization

Cactus likes fertilizer and is tolerant to fertilizer. Generally, it can start topdressing 30 days after changing pots in spring. Every 20 days or so in the growing season, it is necessary to apply 10 times mature liquid fertilizer once, and then mix the same amount of 1000 times potassium dihydrogen phosphate, which needs to stop fertilizing in winter.

6. Change the basin

Cactus in the basin, need to cut off part of the old roots, and then dry for 4-5 days and then plant in the basin, the planting should not be too deep, generally with the root neck of the sphere and the soil surface is appropriate, in order to avoid causing rotten roots, generally newly planted cactus should not be watered, only need to spray 2-3 times a day.

7. Diseases and insect pests

In the environment of high temperature and poor ventilation, cactus is prone to diseases and insect pests. General diseases can be controlled by spraying carbendazim or topiramate, while insect pests can be sprayed with dimethoate, but no matter which solution is sprayed, it should be carried out outdoors.

Matters needing attention in culturing cactus

1. In the process of cultivating cactus, it is necessary to control the amount of water, illuminance and fertilizer, which may lead to the failure of cactus survival if it is not handled properly.

2. When entering the spring and summer, the fairy ball club will resume its growth. During this period, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium mixed fertilizers can be applied every 15 days. During this period, the sun should be shaded properly, and the sun should not be exposed to the sun.

3. In winter, the pot cactus should be moved into the indoor for maintenance. Generally, the room temperature above 5 ℃ can safely survive the winter, and the pot soil should be dry in the process of culture, otherwise it will easily lead to rotting roots.

4. Cactus is not suitable for watering too much water, otherwise it will lead to root rot. In spring and summer, it can be watered once every 1-2 months, and in autumn and winter, it can be watered every 2-3 months.

5. Cacti love sunshine and drought resistance, so they must be watered thoroughly.

6. Generally, the basin can be changed in spring. The cactus that has just changed the basin can not be watered immediately. It needs to be watered after 7 days.
