Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Because Francois has a nickname called sunflower, so some flower friends will foolishly not distinguish between them, so are the two kinds of flowers the same? Next, I will answer for you whether they are the same kind of flowers or not.

I. subject subordination:

Francois and sunflower both belong to the Compositae family, but Fran flower belongs to the genus Potentilla, and the sunflower belongs to the sunflower genus. It can be seen from here that the two kinds of flowers are different.

2. Country of origin:

Francois originated in the south, was later introduced into England, and now it is also planted in our country. Sunflowers are native to South America and were introduced to Europe by Spain.

3. The environment for growth:

For Francois, it requires a higher temperature than sunflowers. It needs a temperature of 20 to 25 degrees during the day and about 16 degrees at night. In order for it to blossom, the ambient temperature should not be lower than 15 degrees.

When the temperature is lower than 7 degrees in winter, it will stop growing, and staying at zero for too long can even threaten its life.

Sunflower seems to be more casual, as long as the temperature is higher than 10 degrees, it can grow normally and the higher the temperature, the faster it grows.

4. Appearance:

1 Fran flower: when it blooms, the diameter of this flower will reach 6 to 10 centimeters, its receptacle is flat, directly exposed, the diameter can reach 6 to 8 millimeters long, there are two layers of male flowers on the outside, and the outer Corolla is in the shape of a tongue, about 2.5 to 3.5 centimeters long and 2 to 4 millimeters wide.

Sunflower: this kind of flower can be as long as 10 to 30 centimeters in diameter when it blooms, which is very large. Its flowers can be said to be 1 to 5 times the size of Fran flowers.
