Fertilization time of jujube tree is from May to September. Fertilization can be applied during flowering. The fertilizer elements needed by jujube tree at each growth stage are different. Nitrogen is the main fertilizer element from bud to flowering. The peak period of young fruit development and root development is from June to early August.

1. What month is the time for jujube fertilization?

1. One is May, when flower bud differentiation and branch development continue at the same time, and the consumption of nutrients is large.

2. The second is the flowering period in June, when flowering and fruiting and young fruit development continue at the same time.

3. The third is the fruit growth period from July to September, when fruit development and root development continue at the same time, and the fruit needs to accumulate a small amount of nutrients, which is conducive to ensuring tube expansion, development and maturity.

Second, the method of jujube fertilization

1. The fertilizer elements required by jujube trees in each growth stage are different. From bud to flowering, nitrogen is the main fertilizer. June to early August is the peak period of young fruit development and root development. Nitrogen and potassium fertilizer are required. Before fruit ripeness and defoliation, the tree body continues to accumulate nutrients. It is the root of bud and long leaves in the second year. The fertilizer nutrient demand in this period increases obviously.

3. The proportion of common controlled-release fertilizer for jujube trees is 21-12- 17,18 -12-21, etc., which can be applied as base fertilizer once before budding in spring. Three kinds of circular furrow application, radial furrow application and rotation furrow application can be adopted. The circular furrow application method is to dig a circular fertilization ditch with a depth of 40-50cm and a width of 30-40cm along the outer projection of the tree crown, and then apply fertilizer into the ditch and fill the fertilization ditch with soil.

4. The radial furrow method is to dig 6-8 radial furrows with depth and width of 24-45cm from 80cm to the outside of the crown, and to continuously fertilize, while the rotation furrow method is to dig fertilizer furrows with depth and width of 40cm on both sides of the crown, depending on the size of the crown.

5. Apply controlled-release fertilizer about 50kg per mu. Jujube trees belong to deep-rooted crops. Fertilizer applied outside the soil will be difficult to be absorbed. Therefore, it will be absorbed and play a role when applied to the appropriate depth of the soil layer. Jujube trees absorb nutrients mainly according to the root system. The root branches of jujube trees are not strong and the density is small. It is not easy to break new roots after cutting. Therefore, when applying controlled-release fertilizer, pay attention to digging ditches. Do not cut off the roots of jujube trees.

6. Jujube trees like to grow in mountainous areas, hills and plains below 1700 meters above sea level. Jujube trees belong to thermophilic fruit trees. The annual average temperature in production areas is about 15℃, the suitable temperature for germination period is 13-15℃, the suitable temperature for branching and leaf development period is 17℃, the suitable temperature for flowering and fruit setting period is 22-25℃, and the suitable temperature for fruit maturity period is 18-22℃.

7. Jujube trees have strong drought tolerance and waterlogging tolerance, but they need higher air humidity during flowering, otherwise they will not be conducive to pollination and fruit setting. In addition, jujube trees are strong in light preference, sensitive to light response, and have strong adaptability to soil. They also have the characteristics of barren tolerance and salt tolerance. However, jujube trees are afraid of wind, so they should pay attention to staying away from tuyere when building gardens.
