Environment: adequate light and good ventilation are required. Basin soil: soil that is loose, drained and permeable. Flowerpot: choose mud pot or purple sand pot to plant. Watering: a small amount of ferrous sulfate can be added when watering, and the growing season can be watered every 7-10 days. Note: cut off the residual flowers, diseased branches, damaged branches and growing branches in time after flower fade, and generally change the pot every 2-3 years.

I. Environment

Planting rhododendron can have both indoor and outdoor environment. In winter, it can be maintained in a place with sufficient indoor light and good ventilation, and in other seasons, it is more suitable for mud land, and the site is as spacious as possible and shaded properly.

Second, basin soil

Rhododendron likes to grow in loose, draining and permeable soil with a PH value of 5-6. Try not to choose clay or alkaline soil for cultivation, especially for summer cuckoo and rhododendron varieties, which can only be planted in mountain soil.

Flowerpots

1. Azaleas are generally planted in mud basin and purple sand basin, and the ventilation and permeability of mud basin is better, which is mostly used in outdoor maintenance.

2. The shaped azaleas, especially those that have already been shaped, will generally choose the beautiful and elegant purple sand basin for culture, which has exquisite texture, rich colors and beautiful shape, which can increase its ornamental value.

Fourth, watering

Rhododendron is suitable to use Rain Water, river water, pond water for watering, but now most families choose tap water, generally can put tap water for 1-2 days, let chlorine volatilize after watering, a small amount of ferrous sulfate can be added when watering, the growing season can be watered every 7-10 days, and ferrous sulfate is often used to keep the soil acidic.

V. matters needing attention

1. Azaleas are afraid of dry and wet, afraid of heavy fertilizer, the roots of azaleas are as thin as hair, and the sturdy ones are less, so if they are watered too much, their roots will be soaked in water, while too little watering will lead to shrinking branches and leaves, too much fertilizer, and serious fertilizer damage.

2, the placement of azaleas is more exquisite, generally placed on the southeast balcony, and should be often ventilated, less moved, different winds are easy to suffer from black spot, there are a large number of fallen leaves.

3. After the azaleas fade, they need to prune the residual flowers in time, and they can also cut off diseased branches, damaged branches and long branches, so as to avoid consuming too much nutrients, and at the same time clean up the residual flowers and leaves on the surface of the potted soil. After the new branches germinate, they need to sparse buds and leaves in time, and then cut off part of the buds and branches that are too dense, which is conducive to ensuring air circulation.

4. Azaleas grow slowly and do not need to change pots every year, usually once every 2-3 years. Roots should not be hurt when changing pots. The time to change soil is after blossom fade or autumn. Topiramate solution can be sprayed after changing soil to prevent the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.

5. When the weather gets warmer, flower friends will move the azaleas outdoors or on the balcony for maintenance. From coming out of the room to blooming, they need more sunshine, and the flowering stage needs to be shaded for a short time, with a shade degree of 40%.
