Yingshanhong is a kind of flowers with many flowers, and the varieties of Yingshanhong are also extremely diverse, so how does Yingshanhong breed?

There are five main propagation methods of Yingshanhong, which are sowing, grafting, cutting, striping and ramet, of which the most commonly used method is cutting. If it is not easy to survive, Yingshanhong varieties are generally grafted.

First, sowing seeds

The general sowing time is from March to April, using pot sowing, because the seeds are small, wash the inside and outside of the basin, dry in the sun, sterilize and disinfect the soil. After the seedlings are unearthed, 2-3 true leaves grow in May-June. This is the first time to transplant indoors.

2. Grafting

Select the 2-year-old rhododendron, cut the tender shoots 3 cm to 4 cm long on the mother plant of the rhododendron, remove the lower leaves, cut off the leaves at the 2 cm to 3 cm of the new shoots of the same year, remove the leaves, cut them 1 cm longitudinally, and insert the wedge-shaped end of the scion.

Third, cuttage

Take the rigid woody branches of the year, break off the heel, trim the hair head, cut off the lower leaves, the cutting substrate can be orchid soil, alpine humus soil, yellow soil, vermiculite, etc., the cutting depth is appropriate to the ear length of 1 blade 3 to 1 blade 2, after the cutting is finished, it should be sprayed with water, covered with film to protect moisture, and given proper shade.

Fourth, pressing strips

First take 2-3-year-old strong branches from the mother plant of the potted rhododendron, then wrap it loosely twice with a rectangular plastic film, cut open a ring of annular branches about 1 cm wide with a sharp knife 10-12 cm away from the top of the branch, gently peel off the sieve tube of the phloem, cut off the channels for the downward transport of organic matter from the leaves, and tighten the rope at the lower end of the circular incision. About 3-4 months later, when the roots grow to 2-3 cm long, the branches can be cut off, leaving the mother plant and planted in a new pot soil.
