The development of silage corn should be kept up with in the later stage of acquisition.

In recent years, foreign friends always ask me if I need to bring some milk powder before returning home. It has been six or seven years since the melamine incident, and the national dairy industry is gradually recovering from the heavy blow. Dairy industry, animal husbandry and agriculture, especially food production are inextricably linked.

In interviews, many animal husbandry experts said that using silage corn as feed is the easiest way to increase milk yield and improve milk quality. Many large dairy factories in China will lease land and grow silage corn, so as to give better feed to cows.

At present, the function of corn as food rations has been basically replaced by feed and industrial processing, of which about 70% of corn is used as feed and about 25% is used in industrial processing. Instead of calling planting corn "growing grain", it is better to call planting corn "growing feed" and "planting raw materials". The fodder planted in these plants is grain corn, but there is very little silage corn.

It is conservatively estimated that the planting area of silage corn in China can be between 4500 and 50 million mu, which leaves a huge space for the regional structure adjustment of "sickle bend". In China's summer sowing areas, the yield of silage corn is about 40.5 tons per mu, while that of spring sowing areas is about 56.5 tons, and the price of high-quality silage corn is about 0.4 yuan per kilogram. In this way, the effect of planting silage corn on increasing farmers' income can be seen.

Despite this benefit, farmers are still reluctant to grow silage corn in many areas. The biggest problem that bothers them is that they are afraid that no one will take it. The development and growth of the dairy industry can stimulate the silage corn planting industry, and the adequate supply of silage corn can promote the rapid development of the dairy industry. These two industries are supposed to be a virtuous circle of "governor's second pulse" with each other. But because of the word "fear", it has become a "dead cycle".

From planting, transportation, fermentation, storage to final feeding, silage corn needs an interlocking chain to send silage corn from farmland to the mouth of cows. From silage corn breeding, to planting, and then to the animal husbandry industry, the formation of a complete industrial chain can make the industry operate healthily, and let silage corn promote dairy industry and dairy industry to promote silage corn.

Cows are consumers of silage corn, and breeders choose to breed whatever cows like and produce good milk. While breeding special silage corn varieties, the silage corn planting areas and animal husbandry areas should be rationally distributed to make the upstream and downstream docking smoothly. The adjustment of the structure in sickle bend area is not only from planting grain corn to silage corn, but also from all aspects of the industry and complying with the context of industrial development to do well the technological system, industrial layout, supporting policies and regulations one by one.

Compared with grain corn, silage corn has both similarities and differences. nowadays, silage corn industry is like a baby, which needs care, support and nutrition. From variety to planting to harvesting and processing, a complete set of technical research and development system is the backbone of the development of silage corn industry; reasonable and effective layout and accurate downstream arrangements pave the way for industrial development; perfect support policies and rules and regulations protect the development of the industry.
