The meat of river shrimp is delicious and is loved by people in the market, but winter is coming, how can river shrimp survive the winter? Let's take a look at it.

First, how to spend the winter with river shrimp?

Wild river shrimps hide under water plants in winter. If it is a farmed river shrimp, it is necessary to do a good job in the management of overwintering temperature, feeding, water level, prevention of natural enemies, prevention of icing and so on.

Matters needing attention for overwintering

1, water conditions, pond overwintering: to choose rules, shelter to the sun, water depth of more than 1.5 meters, more water plants in the pond, to provide good heat preservation conditions for shrimp overwintering.

2. Stocking density: prawns with strong physique, complete appendages and standard size are selected. The specifications of female shrimps and male shrimps are 140Mb / kg and 140Mb / kg, respectively. The ratio of males and females is 2:1. 30-60 grams of young shrimp with specifications of 2000-3000 pieces / kg can be put per square meter.

3, daily management: during the overwintering period, shrimp still have to eat a small amount of food in order to maintain life and physical exertion, so appropriate amount of bait should be given. In sunny and warm weather, feed every 2-3 days, the bait is few and fine, commonly used small miscellaneous fish, silkworm pupa powder, broken snail lion, wheat bran, etc., each feeding should be controlled within 1% of the body weight of overwintering shrimp and crab.

4. During the overwintering period, we should persist in patrolling the ponds, inject water regularly and maintain the water level, especially to prevent enemy attacks such as water rats and waterbirds. In addition, the pond water should be prevented from freezing in the severe winter season. If the ice is too thick, it should be broken or burrowed in time to avoid asphyxiation and death of shrimp due to lack of oxygen.

In winter, the shrimp shed should not be opened easily, and the food intake of river shrimp will decrease in winter, so it is necessary to reduce feeding.
