How to propagate Cedar taro
Citroe taro is also known as money tree. Is a perennial evergreen herb, is a very rare foliage plant with underground tubers. So how do snow iron taros reproduce?
I. Cuttage
After cutting a single leaf on the mixed substrate mixed with river sand and vermiculite, a rooting bulb can be formed at the base of the leaf after 10-14 days, and it can grow into a small plant after 2-3 months of cultivation, but the seedling rate is not high in general.
If the leaf axis or leaves with leaves are used as cuttings for cutting, the substrate can be made of general fine sand, or peat soil, perlite and river sand can be mixed according to the proportion of 3:1:1 to form a substrate. The depth of the cuttings is 1 beat 3-1 beat 2, leaving only the leaves outside the substrate and sprayed through water and placed in a shaded place.
2. Ramets
Remove the large snow iron taro plant from the basin, shake off most of the persistent soil, break it from the weak combination of tubers, and smear sulfur powder or plant ash on the wound, and plant it in a separate pot. Be careful not to bury it too deep when planting, as long as the top of the tuber is buried 1.5-2 cm under the soil.
Third, leaf cutting
Citroe taro leaves are easy to root when inserted in the substrate and can be used for reproduction. There are 15-25 leaflets on each mature compound leaf, which can greatly increase the reproduction rate if it is used for reproduction. The leaflets of different maturity or double leaves with total petiole or single leaf with total petiole can be cut into clean river sand bed, or they can also be cut directly in peat and other substrates.
Snow iron taro is an indoor foliage plant, which is used to purify indoor air. Its newly drawn pinnate compound leaves are almost always 2, one long and one short, one thick and one thin, so it is also known as "dragon and Phoenix wood".
