When it comes to cherries, everyone must be familiar with them. They not only taste sweet and nutritious, but also eat in various ways and are very popular with people. They are planted in many areas. What pesticides do cherries use during the planting period?

1. Brown spot

Also known as leaf perforation. Sweet cherry is the most important leaf disease.

Symptoms: small purple spots with large needles were formed at the initial stage of the disease, and then expanded, and some joined each other in round brown spots, with small black spots, that is, conidia and cysts. Finally, the disease spot shrinks and falls off into holes. In serious cases, it can cause early defoliation, weaken the tree potential, and lead to a reduction in yield.

Prevention and control methods: sweep the fallen leaves and eliminate the pathogen of overwintering. Strengthen comprehensive management, improve site conditions, enhance tree potential, and improve tree disease resistance. Spray 70% mancozeb 600 times or 75% chlorothalonil 500-800 times 1-2 times from flowering to fruit picking, respectively. After fruit picking, spray 200-240 times equivalent Bordeaux solution for 2-3 times.

2. Leaf spot

Symptoms: the disease mainly harms cherry leaves. The damaged leaves form brown or purple circular disease spots between the leaf veins, and the back of the leaves produce pink mildew. The disease spots can cause most of the leaves to die and cause fallen leaves. Sometimes petioles and fruits can also be damaged, resulting in brown spots.

Control method: refer to cherry brown spot.

3. Glue disease

Symptoms:

From the beginning of sprouting, the gum was spilled from the wound of the branch and the dead tissue of the branch. After glue flow, the diseased part is slightly swollen, the cortex and xylem become brown and rotten, and other miscellaneous bacteria are saprophytic, resulting in the decline of the tree, and in serious cases, the branches die.

Prevention and control methods:

Increase the application of organic fertilizer to prevent drought, waterlogging and freezing injury; strong tree potential, improve tree resistance; white trunk to prevent sunburn; strengthen the control of diseases and insect pests, especially the prevention and control of stem pests, reduce wounds during pruning and avoid mechanical damage; the affected branches should be scraped timely and thoroughly, and the wounds should be smeared with 10 parts of quicklime, 1 part of sulphur mixture, 2 parts of salt and 0.3 parts of vegetable oil.

4. Insect pests

The main pests harmful to cherries are red-necked longicorn beetles, mulberry scale and so on. The control methods refer to the pest control of peach.

For the prevention and control of cherry diseases and insect pests in protected areas, it is necessary to do a good job in open field and protected areas. Before the plastic film is covered in the greenhouse, the stone sulfur mixture of Baume 3-5 degrees should be sprayed once to prevent a variety of diseases. After the fruit harvest and removing the greenhouse film, spray 500-600 times 70% mancozeb or 700 times 50% carbendazim.
