In the annual plum harvest season, it is a time war for fruit growers. Because of the high output of plums, there will be the risk of a bad market if a large number of plums are not controlled on the market, and the loss is not small. But plums are also a kind of fruit that is very easy to ripen and rot. What should I do if I can't finish it? Is there any way to keep plums fresh longer?

1. Plum harvesting

Attention should also be paid to the harvest process before keeping plums fresh. If the fruit is harvested too early, the taste of the fruit is not good, and the fruit is soft and loses its economic value after ripening too late. Therefore, the most ideal harvest time is when the green pericarp series of plums turn yellowish green, and when the purple, red and black pericarp are all colored but the pulp is still hard. When harvesting, choose a cool morning or in the evening when the temperature of the fruit has dropped, put on gloves, squeeze the stalk with your fingers and pick the fruit from the branch. Do not directly touch the fruit body, so as not to touch the waxy layer on the fruit, affecting the appearance and storage effect.

2. Fresh-keeping methods of plums

1. Cold storage: choose a cold storage with a cold storage temperature of 0 ℃ ~ 1 ℃, a relative humidity of 85% and 90%, and good ventilation.

2. Ice cellar storage: lay the bottom of the cellar with crushed ice, and then put the fruit basket (this kind of storage is better with a basket) on the ice and palletize. After the yard is ready, spread a layer of ice and palletize according to this step in turn. After the palletizing is completed, it is covered with a layer of plastic film, and then stacked with sawwood powder and other materials with a thickness of about 90 cm for thermal insulation. The overall temperature in the cellar should also be controlled at 0-1 ℃. This method should ensure the tightness of the ice cellar and ensure the freshness of the fruit for a long time. After winter, it can also be transferred to an ordinary cellar to continue storage until the Spring Festival supply market.

3. Gas-controlled storage: remove the plums harvested at the right time, remove the diseases, insects and rotten fruits, and store them in a polyethylene film bag with a thickness of 0.025 mm. Plums can be stored for 2-3 months at a temperature of 0-1 ℃, carbon dioxide content of 7-8% and oxygen content of 1-3%.

Matters needing attention in the preservation of plums

1. Pre-cooling treatment: within 3 hours after plum harvest, within 24 hours at the latest, it must be cooled below 4 ℃-5 ℃ in order to prevent the occurrence of brown rot and soft rot. Pre-cooling method: the fruit was put into 0.5 ℃ ~ 1 ℃ warehouse for cooling treatment.

2. Timely ventilation: it is easy to accumulate carbon dioxide, ethylene and other gaseous substances after food is stored in the cold storage for a period of time, so the cold storage needs to install an air extraction system to ensure the circulation of fresh air to facilitate the storage and preservation of food.

3. Temperature control at any time: the temperature in the cold storage will be affected by the change of the external air temperature. During the inspection, the manager should adjust the temperature according to the actual situation in the storage to ensure the stability of the temperature in the cold storage. At the same time, the product should be heated up step by step before leaving the warehouse to avoid condensation of water on the surface of the fruit due to the large internal and external temperature difference.
