Eggplant is a kind of vegetable that we often eat in our daily life. although eggplant is very beautiful in the market, it will encounter a lot of wind and rain diseases in the process of eggplant growth. if one is not careful, it may lead to no harvest. So how to treat eggplant with spot blight?

1. Control of eggplant spot blight

Eggplant spot blight is a fungal disease against the outbreak of eggplant. The disease is mainly harmful to leaves, petioles, stems and fruits. At the beginning of the disease, water-stained small round spots will appear, and then spread to the front of the leaf or fruit, the leaf spot is round or nearly round, the edge is dark brown, the middle is gray-white, and many small black spots are scattered on the spot in the later stage.

The main prevention and control methods are to strengthen field management, rational use of fertilizer, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, spray 4000 times of multi-effect liquid or 1.4% compound sodium nitrate solution of 60008000 times, which can improve disease resistance; at the same time, it is necessary to avoid planting too dense, keep the field ventilated, transparent and the ground dry; bury or burn the disease residue deeply after harvest.

2. Other diseases and treatment of eggplant

In addition to eggplant spot blight, there will be many other diseases, such as quenching, cotton blight, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and so on, which are common diseases of eggplant, which should be dealt with in time when these diseases occur, otherwise they will spread and lead to the death of eggplant.

The quenching disease of eggplant mostly occurs in the early stage of eggplant seedlings, and suffers at the cotyledon stage or early true leaf stage after emergence, resulting in seedling quenching. The main control methods are to adopt the method of rapid or soilless seedling raising, or to select resistant varieties according to local requirements, and it is best to disinfect the seeds and soil before sowing.

Eggplant cotton blight, also known as rotten eggplant, generally occurs seriously in rainy or rainy summer or rainy autumn. The disease often causes a large number of fruit rot and directly affects the yield. The main control measures are selection of disease-resistant varieties, seed disinfection, fine management and so on.

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is one of the common diseases of eggplant, which occurs in all vegetable areas. when eggplant is damaged, it is easy to cause eggplant seedling death, fruit shedding, plant death and other symptoms. the main control methods are chemical treatment of soil, pay attention to ventilation to reduce humidity in the greenhouse, timely removal of diseased plants, take to the outside of the shed to destroy and so on.
