When it comes to bamboo, everyone must be familiar with it, especially in early spring, when it grows a large number of bamboo shoots, which is very popular with people, but during the planting period, it grows all kinds of insects, so what if the bamboo leaves give birth to insects?

What if the bamboo leaves are infested with worms?

When the locust eggs are hatched and unearthed from May to June, 50-100g wettable trichlorfon is added to 100 jin of human or animal urine, and then soaked with corncob or straw and scattered under the bamboo forest. Raw bamboo borer can spray 2.5% trichlorfon powder, 3-4 kg per mu. Raw boat moth pests can be sprayed with 2000 times of dichlorvos. Poisonous moth pests can be sprayed with 2000 times liquid of 90% trichlorfon.

What are the common pests of bamboo?

1. Pests in shoot period

There are mainly Spodoptera litura, Bamboo Elephant, Bamboo Toona and so on. Nocturnal moth larvae eat bamboo shoots, and both adults and larvae bite bamboo shoots from inside the bamboo shoots, which makes it difficult for bamboo shoots to grow into bamboo shoots. Even if they can become bamboo, their utilization and ornamental value are greatly reduced due to the formation of broken heads. The nymphs and adults of bugs suck the juice of the young part of bamboo, which weakens the growth of bamboo shoots and young bamboo, and in serious cases, makes the bamboo shoots die and the tender bamboo wither.

To control night moth pests, the following measures can be taken to dig out the injured bamboo shoots as early as possible, cover soil to prevent overwintering eggs from hatching, and spray 1500 times with 80% dichlorvos. The measures to control bamboo weevil include turning over the soil in winter and destroying the overwintering soil chamber of adults; artificial capture of adults; peeling bamboo shoot shells below the spawning hole to kill eggs and larvae; and injecting or brushing the spawning hole with 1000 times of 80% dichlorvos EC. The measures that can be taken to control bugs are as follows: to protect the red bugs and control the insects; in the early occurrence of bamboo shoots in April and the peak period of adult colonization from July to August, 25% imidophos 2000 times solution is sprayed and killed every morning and evening.

2. Leaf pests

There are mainly four kinds of pests: bamboo locust, bamboo borer, poisonous moth and boat moth. Bamboo locust is the main pest that harms bamboo in a large area. when it occurs, it eats up all the bamboo leaves, like burning, light reduction of next year's bamboo shoots, and heavy pieces of bamboo die. When bamboo borer and boat moth pests occur, they can also eat up the bamboo leaves of tens of thousands of mu of bamboo forest. When the pests of poisonous moths are seriously damaged, there are more than 2000 insects per bamboo, and there are generally more than 500. after the bamboo leaves are eaten, the bamboo plants die and the bamboo shoots are reduced.

The measures that can be taken to control bamboo locusts are as follows: when locust eggs are hatched and leaping oysters are unearthed from May to June, urine is used to kill them, that is, 0.1 to 0.2 jin of wettable trichlorfon is added to 100 jin of human or animal urine, then soaked with corncob or rice straw, scattered under the bamboo forest, and boiled with 1 jin of sheep flowers, 20 jin of water is boiled, 250 kg of leapfrog and adults are sprayed and killed every 500 grams of mother liquid after filtration. The methods that can be taken to control bamboo borer use black light to trap and kill adults; spray 2.5% trichlorfon powder at 3 to 4 kg per mu. To control moth pests, spray 50% dichlorvos and 2000 times of dichlorvos in the event of a major occurrence. The methods that can be taken to control poisonous moth pests include artificial egg scraping and cocoon control and black light trapping; during the adult occurrence period from June to October, 2000-fold solution of trichlorfon is used to control the disease.

3. Branch pests

There are mainly bamboo wide-shouldered wasps, bamboo branch wasps, long-tailed wasps and so on. The larvae absorb nutrients in the internodes of bamboo shoots and branchlets to make the internodes dense and dilate and form galls. The branches of the injured bamboo are sagging, which are easy to be broken by the wind, and the leaves of the damaged parts become smaller and yellow, which affects the shoot and normal growth, and can cause plant death in serious cases.

The control method is to cut down the damaged bamboo plants every autumn and winter, and the branches and leaves are centrally burned; after the adults come out of the hole from April to May, they are sprayed with Biopesticide 1.1% EC 1000 to 1500 times the liquid; use "621" smoke agent, 1 jin per mu of fumigation; use 5% Suisuwei original solution to inject the larvae in the bamboo stem toxic insecticidal galls; combined with bamboo forest winter ploughing and loosening soil, tending and trimming, digging out the overwintering egg blocks, centralized burning.
