Milan is an evergreen shrub or small tree of the genus Azadirachtidae. Its flowers are very small, about 2 mm in diameter, yellow in color, strong in fragrance and long in florescence. Many people want to raise a pot. So, how does Milan spend the winter?

1. Improve the ability to resist cold

Milan's own cold resistance is poor, if it wants to be safe through the winter, it needs to improve its cold resistance. After the beginning of autumn, it is necessary to stop fertilization, especially nitrogen fertilizer, of course, we can apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer appropriately. At the same time, watering should be controlled to keep the basin soil dry so as to make the branches and leaves grow more luxuriantly.

2. Move indoors

Milan likes the warm climate, is afraid of cold, is very sensitive to low temperature, a short time below zero low temperature can cause the whole plant death; when the temperature reaches about 16 ℃, the plant shoots out, but the growth is slow, can not form spikes. If the temperature is low in winter, you can move Milan indoors and control the temperature between 10-12 ℃. The indoor temperature should not fluctuate too much throughout winter, so as not to affect plant dormancy. Do not exceed 15 ℃ at room temperature, lest the plant will sprout and consume nutrients.

3. Put it in the sunny place

Milan likes the sun, so keep it indoors in the sun in winter, but not in the vents, lest the cold wind blow on the plants.

4. Proper watering

Milan is dormant or semi-dormant in winter, so it should be properly watered, so that the basin soil can not be too dry or too wet, and cannot be watered until the basin soil is dry. If the leaves are covered with dust, it will hinder photosynthesis and cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off. You can spray water close to room temperature every ten days or so to clean the leaves.

5. Leave the room at the right time

When the weather is not stable in spring, don't rush to move the flowerpot outside. If the climate is stable, open the window around noon for ventilation so that the plant can adapt to the environment outside the house in advance, and then move outside a few days later. In case of sudden strong wind or cold wave, move back indoors in time.
