Gourd is a vine climbing plant, immature can be used as vegetables to eat, dry can be used as medicine, is the body of ancient Chinese doctors, symbolizing health and justice, how to grow seeds inside the gourd?

1. Sowing time

It is suggested that the planting of gourd should be carried out at the end of spring every year, which belongs to the peak season of plant growth, when planting is more conducive to seed germination and can improve the survival rate of seeds. In addition, there is a great difference in temperature between the north and the south, with planting in the south from March to April and in the north in May.

2. Seed treatment

Gourd seeds with good quality were selected for planting, disinfected with potassium permanganate solution, and then soaked in warm water for about 40 ℃ for half an hour. Finally, the seeds are taken out and wrapped in paper towels and placed in a warm and ventilated environment to promote germination.

3. Indoor budding

Choose a medium-sized flowerpot, put sand on the bottom of the pot, then a layer of gauze, and then put the seeds on the gauze. Cover the seeds with towels and quilts to keep them warm, and the temperature should be controlled at 25-28 ℃. Take away the quilt and sprinkle some water every day, but no stagnant water. After waiting for the seeds to be exposed, you can take them out and put them in a cool place and wait for the seeds to be sown.

4. Preparation of basin soil

Before planting, we must prepare suitable soil to ensure that the seeds have a better growing environment. We must ensure that the soil has good permeability and sufficient nutrients, and can be mixed with rotten leaf soil, pastoral soil, river sandy soil and a small amount of organic fertilizer to ensure the growth of seeds.

5. Sowing seeds

Sowing usually takes place in April. Poke a hole 3-4 cm deep on the surface of the basin soil, put the seed mouth down into the hole, cover it and water it once. In general, the seeds can take root in about a week. The seeds that have already taken root are buried in the soil with the roots facing down and covered with a thin layer of soil. After planting, put it in a semi-overcast and ventilated environment while keeping the soil slightly moist, and the seeds can germinate in about 10 days.
