When it comes to pears, everyone must be familiar with them. They are not only juicy and sweet, but also have high nutritional value. Many people like to eat them, and the leftover seeds can be planted in potted plants. How to grow pear fruit seeds?

1. Seed selection

Just use the pear kernels after eating, place the fresh pear kernels until the flesh is completely soft, then rinse in water, gently rub with your fingers, wash off the pulp and other impurities, leaving full and flawless seeds. The seeds can be placed on a mat or a clean cloth and placed in a dry place to air-dry. Most of this process takes place in autumn. After overwintering, the germination rate and survival rate of seeds are higher.

2. Sprouting

(1) after drying, it should be stored in the storage room before the soil is frozen, usually before November.

(2) prepare a basin of sand, wet it with water, mix it according to the proportion of three parts of sand to one part of the seed, put it in a shady storage room, and cover it with 10 centimeters of wet sand, so as to prevent the seeds from dehydration and loss of vitality.

(3) after a winter, the wet sand will freeze, and when the temperature rises in spring and the sand thaws, it will be the process of seed release. In the meantime, it is best to stir every day to prevent the seeds from getting moldy or rotting caused by the muggy heat in the sand. Keep the sand moist, but don't drip it. Just hold it in a ball and let it go.

After the catalytic process, the seeds will gradually grow small buds and become white, and then they can be sown in the soil.

3. Sowing method

Prepare several pots that are well drained and breathable, and plant the seeds at a depth of about one centimeter, one for each pot, and transplant at a later stage, which is mainly to grow into seedlings. Seedlings can grow in about 20 days.

4. Post-management

(1) keep the soil in the basin moist, put it in a place with better sunshine, take good care of it, plant buds and grow into seedlings, and then colonize it after growing stably.

(2) it takes about five years to mature, so wait patiently.
