The difference between cold grass and warm grass

Grass generally refers to herbaceous plants, and the corresponding concept is woody plants. People usually call herbs "grass", but grass can be divided into cold grass and warm grass. So, what's the difference between cold grass and warm grass?

First, the growth temperature is different.

The suitable growth temperature of cold grass is between 15 ℃ and 25 ℃. When the temperature is higher than 30 ℃, the growth is slow. The most suitable temperature for warm grass growth is 26 ℃-35 ℃. When the temperature is below 10 ℃, dormancy occurs.

Second, the growing season is different.

Cold grass grows vigorously in spring and autumn and is not resistant to heat in summer; in the hot summer, cold grass has entered a stage of growth discomfort. Warm grass grows luxuriantly from summer to mid-autumn and is not resistant to cold in winter; in late autumn or winter, the aboveground stems and leaves are withered and yellow, and the underground rhizomes are dormant.

Difference 3. Different suitable areas

Cold grass is suitable for planting in areas with relatively cool climates, such as Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Anhui, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Gansu and so on. Warm grass is suitable for planting in areas with warm climates, such as Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan, Chongqing and so on.
