The difference between Sijiqing and green grass
Sijiqing and green grass are two common lawns in daily life, which have high greening value and are widely planted in ecological green space and golf course. What is the difference between Sijiqing and green grass?
First, what is the difference between Sijiqing and green grass?
The difference between Sijiqing and green grass is that Sijiqing is a cold season lawn, generally as a modern landscape of ground cover, lawn with each other with the ecological green space, both beautiful and environmentally friendly. Green grasses are mostly warm-season lawns, dwarf Bermuda, usually grown on golf greens.
Second, how to grow green grass in four seasons?
1. Fine land preparation
Before planting, the land is required to be relatively flat, the height difference per mu is less than 3-5cm, and the soil with heavy clayey soil or high sand content needs to be improved to facilitate the drafting and winding of grass in the later stage, and appropriate amount of chemical fertilizer and mature organic fertilizer can be applied at the same time of soil preparation, generally 5g diammonium and 5g potassium chloride per square meter.
2. Establish the drainage and irrigation system.
Grass has a high demand for water, especially during the period from sowing to seedling emergence, the surface 2-3cm soil can not be dried because of water consumption, nor can it cause water collapse in the field, so it is necessary to establish a good drainage and irrigation system.
3. Select varieties
In general, when the lawn is built, it is necessary to select the seeds of different varieties for mixed sowing, and it is not suitable to use a single variety for sowing. The proportion of varieties is 2 to 3 grass, 1 to 3 tall fescue, 2 to 3 grass and 1 to 3 ryegrass, or mixed sowing to different varieties of Kentucky bluegrass.
4. Seed treatment
Seed dressing or seed coating is needed before sowing. In areas where there are more underground pests, seed dressing needs to be carried out with 0.2% antiseptic alum or methylidene, during which seed dressing needs to be carried out in strict accordance with the instructions.
5. Sowing time
The sowing time in Beijing area is from April 10 to 25, or from August 20 to September 20, which is generally suitable for sowing in autumn, which is beneficial to restrain the growth of weeds through normal emergence of lawns and prevent weeds from competing for the nutrition of grasses.
6. Sowing depth
The sowing rate of a single sowing variety is 10-12g/ square meters for Kentucky bluegrass and 30-40g/ square meters for ryegrass, which is calculated when mixed sowing, and then the seeds are mixed evenly and sprinkled on the relatively hard topsoil to avoid sowing too deep, and then mix the soil with a mixer with a depth of about 0.5cm, and finally use a ballast to gently compact it.
7. Rational irrigation
Irrigation is needed in time after sowing, lawn must not be irrigated with flood, sprinkler irrigation can be carried out during this period, 30-meter sprinkler can be used, if 50-meter sprinkler is used, topsoil cover is needed, otherwise the seeds will be washed away by water, resulting in irregular emergence of seedlings, watering needs to be drenched thoroughly, and then wait for about 15 days to emerge, the emergence standard is each plant / square centimeter is the whole seedling.
