Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Recently, the compilation of China's climate atlas and climate regionalization research has passed the acceptance of the public welfare industry (meteorological) scientific research project in the last three decades. The project revolves around the urgent needs of China's climate research and operational work for a new type of climate zoning, aiming at China under the background of climate change.

Recently, the public welfare industry (meteorology) scientific research project "the compilation of China's climate atlas and climate regionalization in the last 30 years" passed the acceptance. Centering on the urgent demand of climate research and operational work for new climate zoning in China, and aiming at the variation of regional climate distribution pattern in China under the background of climate change, the project has carried out the research work of climate regionalization in China in the past 30 years. According to Liao Yaoming, head of the project and senior engineer of the Climate and Climate change Assessment Office of the National Climate Center, the project has established the data set of China's climate standard values from 1981 to 2010, and compiled China's climate regionalization and agricultural climate maps in the last 30 years. The compilation plan of the Climate Atlas of China from 1981 to 2010 is compiled, and it is pointed out that the national first-level climate zoning indicators have changed significantly before and after 1997.

The research team first studied and formulated the statistical compilation projects, methods and programs of surface climate data in the last 30 years, and developed statistical software that is easy to use, expansive, applicable and calculated strictly according to statistical methods. the preprocessed climate data were processed, and finally the climate standard value data set from 1981 to 2010 was established. On the basis of investigating the work of climate zoning at home and abroad, the research team put forward a climate zoning scheme based on the three-level hierarchical system of temperature zone, dry and wet zone and climate zone, and made use of the daily observation data of 756 observation stations from 1961 to 2010. the changing trends and Interdecadal characteristics of all levels of indicators in the past 50 years are analyzed. This paper studies the application of fast sample clustering method, hierarchical clustering method and cluster statistical test method in the study of climate and temperature regionalization in China. The research team systematically summarized the research progress of climate regionalization in China from the indicators, principles and methods of climate regionalization, and further improved the three-level climate zoning index and its division criteria suitable for the current climatic conditions in China.

According to the improved climate zoning indicators and the established data set of Chinese climate standard values from 1981 to 2010, the research team completed the production of the latest climate regionalization and agroclimatic regionalization map in China. Among them, China's climate zoning map from 1981 to 2010 divides China into 12 temperature zones, 24 dry and wet zones and 56 climate zones. China's agroclimatic regionalization map from 1981 to 2010 divides China into 3 agroclimatic regions, 14 agroclimatic zones and 49 agroclimatic zones. The latest climatic zoning and agroclimatic zoning diagrams in China provide the latest scientific basis for the agricultural layout and industrial structure adjustment in China. The reporter learned that at present, the "Climate Zoning Map of China from 1981 to 2010" has played a good guiding role in the adjustment of agricultural structure and industrial layout in Liaoning Province and other places, and has been affirmed by the leaders of Liaoning Province.

On this basis, combined with the latest climate business needs of the China Meteorological Administration and relevant scientific research achievements at home and abroad, the research team also compiled a plan for the compilation of the Climate Atlas of China from 1981 to 2010. the indicators of extreme climate events, industrial climate impact and climate change were added, and the Climate Atlas of China from 1981 to 2010 (simplified version) was compiled. These latest climate statistical maps are all integrated into the climate change engineering project "Climate change impact Assessment and Service system", and have played a good role in climate assessment business services. some of the results have also been applied in the compilation of the disaster Weather and Climate Atlas of China and the Climate of China.

In addition, based on the daily climate data from 1951 to 2010, the project research team analyzed the spatio-temporal variation of climate variables such as extreme precipitation, drought days, extreme temperature and maximum wind speed in China, as well as the variation of various climate standard values. Liao Yaoming particularly pointed out that the national average number of days greater than or equal to 10 ℃ accumulated temperature and the accumulated temperature increased significantly after 1997. In eastern China, each dividing line moved northward to varying degrees, especially in the middle subtropics; the area of cold temperate zone and mid-temperate zone decreased, while the area of warm temperate zone, north subtropical zone, middle temperate zone, south subtropics and tropics increased. This change of climate zoning pattern will have an impact on China's agricultural production and planting system in many aspects. Under the background of global warming, the northern boundary of the cultivation of wheat, rice and corn continues to be pushed northward, and there is a large-scale expansion of rice in Heilongjiang, which needs to adjust and formulate a scientific and reliable crop planting system in accordance with local conditions according to the changes of climate resources.
